Responsibilities

Job Description:

 

Provide Engineering support for the government customer.

 

Job Duties Include (but not limited to):

  • Serve as technical experts for the TENCAP Systems Engineering Group (TSEG)
  • Prepare decision justification materials, prepare design studies to identify and address program/project capability gaps, prepare analysis of alternatives and recommendations for decision, and prepare study results for presentation to leadership. Required reports shall be provided IAW CDRL A005 and presentations shall be provided IAW CDRL A006.
  • Develop a Systems Engineering Management Plan (SEMP) IAW CDRL A003 which addresses the contractor’s overall systems engineering management approach and provides standards, capability models, and configuration management for TENCAP projects.
  • Review and comment on the accuracy and completeness of documentation used to justify government objectives or requirements.
  • Assess Intelligence Community products against Army POR threshold and objective requirements.
  • participate in and provide recommendation for acceptance or rejection of program reviews to include Software Specification Reviews (SSR), Preliminary Design Reviews (PDR), Critical Design Reviews (CDR), and Test Readiness Reviews (TRR).
  • Draft proposed acquisition strategies and cost estimates to facilitate program milestone execution.
  • For development of Advanced Prototypes, the contractor shall draft program documentation, System specification, and Concept of Operations (CONOPs) IAW CDRL A005.
  • Participate in the Military Exploitation of Reconnaissance & Intelligence Technology (MERIT) working group and shall assess and recommend proposals for technology development projects.
  • Recommend acceptance or rejection of project review and trade studies, test plans and procedures, and test reports.
  • Create information and decision presentations IAW CDRL A006 to justify transition of technology to a POR or prototype development.
  • Review, assess, and make comments on technical solutions for integration across PEOs and across intelligence disciplines to meet operational needs and capability gaps.
  • Identify Technology Readiness Levels (TRLs) and recommend candidate proposals, based on validated requirements, for incorporation into Army PORs.
  • Draft concepts, identify potential prototypes of capability, and demonstrate to the PORs the viability and utility of the technology insertion candidates IAW CDRL A005.
  • Provide assessments and evaluations on performance and feasibility of existing and proposed Terrestrial, Aerial, and Space-based GEOINT components of Army TENCAP architectures, including identification of performance, cost, and schedule risk, and prepare recommendations for consideration by PD Army TENCAP.
  • Participate in forums with external organizations concerning employment, acquisition, and development of GEOINT collection, processing exploitation and dissemination systems.
  • Provide technical expertise to recommend and evaluate GEOINT policy, architecture, requirements and system development decisions for Army Staff.
  • Provide assessments and evaluations on performance and feasibility of existing and proposed Terrestrial, Aerial, and Space-based SIGINT components of Army TENCAP architectures, including identification of performance, cost, and schedule risk, and prepare recommendations for consideration by PD Army TENCAP.
  • Participate in forums with external organizations concerning employment, acquisition, and development of SIGINT collection, processing exploitation and dissemination systems.
  • Provide technical expertise to recommend and evaluate SIGINT policy, architecture, requirements and system development decisions for Army Staff.
  • Provide assessments and evaluations on performance and feasibility of SATCOM, Terrestrial, and Mobile components of current and proposed Army TENCAP systems and architectures, including identification of performance, cost, and schedule risk, preparation of recommendations for consideration by PD Army TENCAP.
  • Provide technical expertise to Army representatives during forums with external organizations concerning employment, acquisition, and development of communication systems.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Must have a minimum of ten (10) years of System Engineering experience
  • Must have TENCAP experience
  • MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN

Desired Skills:

  • 1m IAT Level II certification

 

Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred

Security Clearance: 

  • An active TS/SCI security clearance is Required
