    Job Description:


    This senior level position requires complex system analysis to provide enterprise software solutions to include architectural design, requirements analysis, new and sustainment development, unit/integration testing, technical writing, and troubleshooting/debugging of both the front end and back end database. The Software Engineer is a multi-faceted position within an Agile Development team and an integral member of the organization's analytic team. The Software Engineer will interact with personnel internal and external to the organization to receive and validate requirements and employ the application. 


    Job Duties Include (but not limited to):

    • Provide iterative support to the full software life cycle, to include late stage solutions with additions, updates, and fixes
    • Provide training sessions and materials to end-users pertaining to the application
    • At a minimum, be able to perform complex database and web application development to include anlysis, design, code, test, and documentation
    • Must be able to work with customers to define system scope with objectives and establish baselines
    • Breaks down macro level software requirements to create highly complex system features
    • Respond to users needs by analyzing system capabilities to resolve problems, identifying programming techniques and controls, and preparing operational instructions
    • Conduct multidisciplinary research and gather requirements to determine tbest solutions to meet customer's goals and objectives
    • Provide level 3 help desk support to application users as required
    • Exhibit expertise in agile development methodologies
    • Discipline to uphold project and development standards and processes
    • Ability to work in a cohesive team environment and/or independently
    • Ability to identify technology gaps in current capabilities to meet best practices
    • Ability to develop architectural designs that will allow for scalability and extensibility of the application
    • Ability to accomplish customer ad-hoc requests in a timely and accurate manner


    Required Skills & Experience:

    • Expertise focused toward the development and maintenance of C# solutions using ASP.NET, jQuery, AJAX, JavaScript - very strong coding capabilities in C#
    • Expertise in MS SQL Server 2016 and database programming to include jobs, stored procedures, functions, and complex SQL queries
    • Experience with the following environments: 
      • Visual Studio 2015-2017
      • Team Foundation Server 2018
      • Microsoft Test Manager or equivalent
      • MS SQL Server 2012
      • Microsoft IIS 7.5
    • Agile/Scrum development methodologies experience
    • Knowledge of the use of PKI in .NET web applications
    • 8+ years of experience developing web applications
    • 8+ years of experience designing and building database solutions
    • Experience in applications support and troubleshooting
    • Experience in preparing technical documentation

    Desired Skills:

    • Mobile Development
    • Web Services
    • DISA STIGs: Application development, Web servers, Web applications, SQL servers, and Databases

    Education & Certifications:

    • BS degree in Computer Science or related field experience is desired
    • Security + CE or other 8570 compliant certification
